Saturated fats should be avoided, as they are unhealthy, and especially bad for your heart. Always warm up before you start lifting. Ten to fifteen minutes is all it takes to get your heart pumping and your muscles prepped. Doing this will also prevent muscle injuries that could take awhile to heal. Stretching is key in any muscle growth regimen.
