Mark Rosenzweig is an inventor cum entrepreneur who has patented dozens of innovative appliances and built an empire out of his humble family business.
His name has become almost synonymous with SharkNinja, a company he built and led with great success. SharkNingja’s story is therefore Mark’s own story.
Born in Montreal, Mark graduated in Psychology and Economics in 1991 and flirted with entertainment industry in Los Angeles for three years before returning to Canada to join his family business.
He started as a sales manager at Jolson Corp, a sewing machine business set up by his grandparents in 1954 and expanded by his parents later.
Mark was passionate about innovative home appliances and he wanted to build his own brand with a cross-continent appeal. With an aim to revolutionize cleaning machinery, he kept inventing more reliable, hygienic and multi-feature appliances. With his parents’ support, Mark founded Euro-Pro, which sold innovative ironing systems, steam presses, food processors, and sewing machines. By end of first fiscal (1996), sales neared $1 million and Euro-Pro expanded to include more items under Shark and Bravetti brands.
The company developed a large following thanks to Mark’s innovative marketing techniques.
