What is Hypervisor?
The hypervisor is a piece of code that allows multiple operating systems to run on the same hardware. This piece of code allows us to create multiple guest operating systems, ie guest operating systems, on our physical server by working directly on hardware. We can explain this better with the following example. For example; I installed Windows server 2008 R2 or Server 2012 on my physical server. To use the virtualization technology on this server, I need to install the Hyper-V role. The operating system I installed on my physical machine after installing the Hyper-V role now works as a parent partition. In a way, we can say in a virtual machine. Now the roles have changed. When we first open our physical server, the hypervisor will open first and then the OS system with parent partition will open. Hypervisor code, which is 1.5 MB on the Hyper-V side, is the most important component of virtualization technologies.
